A new fiscal year will begin in April. We kindly ask for
the cooperation of the new neighborhood leaders.
(Thank you very much to the neighborhood leaders of Reiwa 6 for your service
over the past year.)
How is everyone doing? This month, too, we bring you various updates and
information.
1. As announced last month, the first General Meeting of
the Neighborhood Division for Reiwa 7 will be held as follows. We kindly ask
all new neighborhood leaders to attend without fail.
(1) Date and Time: Sunday, April 6, Reiwa 7 – From 10:00 AM
(2) Location: Eastern Community Hall, within Otoshi
Shrine (East Shrine)
(3) Agenda: Introduction of division officers, annual schedule,
collection of dues/donations, bulky waste handling, child safety patrols, etc.
¦ If you are unable to attend, please contact either the association president
or vice-president.
2. As in previous years, Himeji Cityfs Environmental
Beautification staff will be disinfecting the cherry trees in four locations in
late April:
(Otoshi Shrine - East Shrine, Gosha Shrine, Myoken Shrine - West Shrine, and the southern triangular
park).
Caterpillars are often a concern after the cherry blossoms bloom, but this
treatment should be sufficient.
3. Last year, many of the crime prevention patrols by the
neighborhood association, childrenfs association, and fire brigade were
canceled due to bad weather.
This year, patrols will be conducted by the new members on the third Friday
of each month at the following times:
4. The annual work schedule from the Agricultural
Division has been set as follows.
Landowners will be contacted in advance regarding their specific
responsibilities.
(1) May 4 (Sun), from 8:00 AM – gHanada Gochu
Drainageh (carried out by the Agricultural Division and staff)
(2) May 11 (Sun), from 8:00 AM – gHonden
Drainageh (by landowners)
(3) May 18 (Sun), from 8:00 AM – gHatakeda Drainageh (by landowners)
(4) July 6 (Sun), from 7:00 AM – gHonden
Weedingh (by landowners)
(5) July 13 (Sun), from 7:00 AM – gHatakeda Weedingh (by landowners)
(6) September 7 (Sun), from 8:00 AM – gFarm Road Maintenanceh (by
landowners)
5. Bulky waste collection for April will be on the 8th
(Tue) and 22nd (Tue).
Neighborhood 17 (leader: Mr. Shinichi Ishihara) is in charge this month.
Collection for the southern district will proceed as designated.
¦ Please note: Starting April, bulky waste will be collected from 6:00 AM to
8:00 AM only.

6. Cherry blossom season is approaching! We are planning
the annual illumination event again this year, so please come and enjoy it.
Location: Otoshi Shrine (East Shrine)
Dates: Every day from Sunday, March 30 until the petals begin to fall
(canceled in case of rain)
Time: From sunset until around 10:00 PM
Additionally, we are borrowing gHometown Scarecrowsh from the Kakashi-no-Sato
in Oku-Harima for outdoor display around the Eastern Community Hall.
Location: Around the Eastern Community Hall within Otoshi
Shrine (East Shrine)
Dates: Every weekend from March 30 (Sun) to May 11 (Sun) (canceled in
case of rain)
Time: TBD
7. On March 6 (Wed) at 3:00 PM, the Mikunino District
Childrenfs Safety Watch Team Training and Information Exchange Meeting was held
at the Mikunino Elementary School gymnasium, organized by the United
Neighborhood Association.
After a lecture on crime prevention by the Kakogawa Police Department,
participants divided by area to share useful ideas and strategies for future
child safety monitoring. The event was a great success.
To all members of the Safety Watch Team, thank you and we appreciate your
continued support.
8. Please separate kitchen waste properly and put it out
in the designated bags on Mondays and Thursdays, observing the correct time.
If incorrect bags or non-burnable items are included, they will not be
collected.
Also, please completely cover your trash with nets to prevent crows from
scattering it.
If the net is damaged or insufficient, please contact a neighborhood
association officer.
