Fukashino Residents' Association Neighborhood Bulletin
This Month is Nagatsuki (September).

We are still experiencing unusually hot days this year. Are you managing your health well? How is everyone doing? We have various information to share this month, so please take a look.

1.    Due to the illness of Mr. Yoshitomo Nakai, the treasurer of the residents' association, Vice Chairman Naoki Nagao will be taking over the accounting duties from August 6th. We will do our best to avoid any delays in our work, and we ask for your cooperation.

2.    On Sunday, September 1st, from 8:00 AM, we will be conducting repairs on the agricultural roads in Honden and Hatakeda. We request the participation of landowners. The responsible person will inform you of the location to attend.

3.    Towards the end of September, five locations (Higashi no Miya, Gosha no Miya, Nishi no Miya, Dainichi, and Minami no Sankaku Park) will be sprayed with pesticides on the cherry trees by Himeji Cityfs environmental beautification team.

4.    The "Mikunino School District Respect for the Aged Ceremony," hosted by the Mikunino District Federation Residentsf Association, will be held on Sunday, September 15th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the elementary school gymnasium. Those aged 70 and older are eligible to attend.

5.    Residents' association fees will be collected at the community center on Saturday, September 28th, and Sunday, September 29th, during the distribution of the public relations materials. The neighborhood representatives are asked to collect fees from August 25th (Sunday) to September 27th (Friday) and bring them on the above collection dates.

6.    The festival hosted by the Children's Association was held on Saturday, August 3rd, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, as it was last year. We hope families and children enjoyed the various stalls and food trucks on the day. We would like to express our gratitude for the many flowers we received. We ask for your continued support of the Children's Association activities. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by noise and appreciate your cooperation.

7.    On Sunday, August 18th, the 2nd Autumn Festival Executive Committee meeting was held, where the shrine heads, residents' association leaders, and representatives of various groups decided that this year's festival will be held as usual, according to the following schedule. Lion dance practice began on Friday, August 16th, and drum practice will begin on Monday, September 2nd. (1) Event Date: Saturday, October 12th, Eve of the Festival ‡@ From 9:00 AM, there will be a Shinto ceremony and lion dance dedication at Otoshi Shrine (Higashi no Miya). ‡A From 12:00 PM, the parade of floats will begin, and there will be a lion dance dedication at two shrines. (2) Sunday, October 13th, Main Festival ‡@ From 8:30 AM, there will be a lion dance dedication at Otoshi Shrine (Higashi no Miya). ‡A From 9:45 AM, the parade of floats will begin, and there will be a lion dance dedication at two shrines.

8.    The 3rd Autumn Festival Executive Committee meeting will be held on Sunday, September 8th, at 7:30 PM. We ask for the attendance of representatives from various groups.

9.    The "mass dancing" hosted by the Mikunino District Federation Residentsf Association was held on Sunday, August 11th, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Gotaku Castle Ninomaru ruins (the square next to the East Branch Office). The event featured taiko drum performances, fireworks, stalls, and a lottery, creating a lively atmosphere. About 600 local residents gathered and enjoyed the Bon Odori dance.

10.  Please put out kitchen waste properly in designated bags every Monday and Thursday. Himeji City will not collect waste if it is not in the designated bags. Please cover the garbage with nets tightly to prevent crows from scattering it. We have noticed some areas where garbage has been scattered, so we ask for your thorough efforts to prevent this. If nets are damaged or insufficient, please report it to the Residents' Association.

11.  The second semester of elementary school starts on Thursday, August 29th. The Neighborhood Watch activities will begin on Wednesday, September 4th. We ask that the neighborhood representatives participate in the order provided at the Neighborhood Department General Assembly.

12.  With deepest sympathy, we announce: ETaneko Sakurai, 100 years old (34th neighborhood group).

13.  Bulky waste collection in September will be on Friday the 6th and Tuesday the 24th. The responsible neighborhood groups are the 10-2 neighborhood group (group leader: Hideshige Teraoka). The Southern District and Terayama District should follow the set guidelines. ¦ Recently, there have been cases of waste being placed outside the designated times. In September, collection will be from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM, so please adhere to these times. In June, we earned 6,800 yen from 40 kg of aluminum cans and 3,700 yen from 740 kg of cardboard, newspapers, and magazines. ¦ The monthly collection of aluminum cans, old newspapers, and magazines contributes to the residents' association's revenue, so we ask for your continued cooperation.
