This month is Hazuki.

Issued on July 27, 2024

This year, we are experiencing unprecedented hot days, so please take care of your health by staying hydrated and avoiding heatstroke.

How is everyone doing? We will be delivering various information this month as well, so thank you for your continued support.

1. From Saturday, July 20th to Monday, August 29th, children are on summer vacation.

As there will be more sudden darting out by children in the neighborhood, drivers are urged to be extra cautious to avoid accidents. We would like to thank those who volunteered for the children's safety watch during the first semester for their hard work.

2. The summer festival hosted by the Children's Association will be held on Saturday, August 3rd, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

On that day, we will have various stalls and a raffle with tickets handed out for the event, so please come and enjoy with your family and children. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the noise and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

3. The "Sou Odori" dance event hosted by the Mikunino District Federation of Neighborhood Associations will be held on Sunday, August 11th, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Gochaku Castle Ninomaru site (next to the East Branch Office of Himeji city). The event will feature taiko drum performances, fireworks, stalls, and a raffle, making it a lively occasion. We encourage residents of Fukashino to join us. (See the distributed flyer for details.)

Also, the "Mikunino District Senior Citizens' Gathering" will be held on Sunday, September 15th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Mikunino Elementary School gymnasium. It is open to all residents aged 70 and older, and applications are required. Please submit your application form to the Neighborhood Association President by Saturday, August 24th.

4. The Autumn Festival Planning Committee meeting was held on Sunday, July 7th, and it was agreed to proceed with the festival as usual by various organizations. The festival is scheduled for October 12th (Saturday) for the evening festival and October 13th (Sunday) for the main festival. Detailed plans will be discussed at the next committee meeting on August 18th.

5. The cleaning of the Honden ditch on Sunday, July 7th, and the Hatakeda ditch on Sunday, July 14th, was successfully completed with the cooperation of all landowners. Thank you all for your hard work.

6. A human rights study session for the school district was held on Friday, July 12th, from 6:00 PM at the Mikunino Elementary School gymnasium. As it was difficult to hold study sessions in each district as in previous years, many people from various groups participated and watched the DVD (Precious One) "Buraku Discrimination and Digital Tattoos," leading to active discussions in each district. It was a great success.

7. On Saturday, July 13th, from 7:30 AM, the Mikunino District Federation of Neighborhood Associations organized grass cutting on the Amakawa levee. The Fukashino Neighborhood Association covered the area from under the Bantan Road on the east side of the levee to the bridge in front of Kokubunji cemetery, with the cooperation of the three main officers and officers  of Neighood Associations, and other volunteers.

8. On Sunday, August 4th, from 7:00 AM, all members of the Neighborhood Association officers will clean the Fukashino communal cemetery. Please gather and bundle any grass or garbage in the cemetery square by the day before for disposal.

9. On Sunday, September 1st, from 8:00 AM, road repairs will be carried out on the agricultural roads in Honden and Hatakeda. We ask all landowners to participate. The specific locations will be notified by the person in charge beforehand.

10. Please dispose of kitchen waste in designated bags on Mondays and Thursdays each week. Himeji City will not collect it if it is not properly bagged. Cover the garbage with a blue net without any gaps to prevent crows from scattering it. If the net is damaged or insufficient, please report it to the Neighborhood Association officers.

11. Our deepest condolences.

Harumi Hasegawa, 84 years old (6-1 neighborhood)

Takumi Yamasaki, 94 years old (49-1 neighborhood)
